QUALITY CONTROL ENGINEER

Immediate need for a Quality Control Engineer at a large industrial company in the midwest. A minimum of 5 years experience as a Quality Control Engineer with a heavy industrial company is required. Experience managing hourly union labor is a plus. Local candidates preferred, relocation assistance available for right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibility is to ensure the company's manufacturing process and ensure a quality product that meets or exceeds thier customer requirements
  • Must drive change and communicate effectively with management and hourly workforce.
  • Ensure that all quality control tests are performed in accordance with company's Control Testing and Inspection Methods and that the results are reliable and accurate.
  • Collaborate with external customers to ensure internal systems align with their needs.

Requirements

  • ISO/TS experience.
  • Experience in a high quality manufacturing environment.
  • Degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Gage, dimension and tolerance testing experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of SPC and methods to ensure quality is built into the products through each stage of manufacturing.
  • Must be able to implement quality controls in a lean manufacturing process change.
  • Must have a track record of implementing effective quality processes in a heavy industrial manufacturing company.
