ISO9001 & ISO14001 - Shared Avenues to Success
Joe Steensma of Industrial Solutions Group, Inc and his brother Chip of Premier Business Systems and an RAB/ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, gave a thorough introduction into both ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 and how they resulted in the need for ISO 19011, an audit standard developed to be used to audit both Quality Management and Environmental Management Systems.
These two individuals are have a common sense approach to the standards and are local resources that I would recommend for anyone involved in these types of activities. You can find out more about utilizing their talents at:

Scholarship Night
Milt Gallmeyer did another stellar job in
reviewing the applications and selecting the recipients for the scholarships
presented by ASQ this year. There were 13 scholarships presented totaling
$10,800. Congratulations to the scholarship recipients and thank you to Milt and
his committee.
Congratulations
Dallas Harris attended the March dinner
meeting for free. He recently earned an ASQ certification and took us up on our
offer. A recent certification equals a free dinner meeting. Just let Jim Smith
know when you register.
First Timers
Although I failed to write down names, we had
two ASQ members attending their first 0905 Section meeting. Welcome and hope to
see you at future meetings.
